You would wrap the Wire round the nails because if they are magnetic they will make their own magnetic field which makes electricity so that would create an electromagnet. hope this helps ^-^ so A!

Answer: The correct answer is "iron nail".

Step-by-step explanation:

Electromagnet consists of iron core wounded by the coils and then the current is passed through it.

The electromagnet becomes active when the current flows through it.

It loses its magnetism when the power is switched off. Therefore, it is a temporary magnet.

Iron nail becomes magnetized easily when the current flows through it. It is a ferromagnetic material.

Iron nail is used in the electromagnet as it loses its magnetism when the current stops flowing through it.

From the given options in the problem, the iron nail is wrapped by using wire around it to make an electromagnet.
