Earth crust is made up of plates. These plates are called plate tectonics were at their plate boundaries move.  These movements create volcanoes through plate convergence and divergence or collision and pulling apart. Molten hot rock under the earth is released through this volcanoes. Epicenters are the areas directly above the focal point of release of Earth's internal energy. Earthquake epicenter is prevalent at the plate boundaries where volcanoes are formed.
