Even though his death is a mystery, I think he probably died from depression, since a lot of his poems are about heartbreak and sadness. Maybe he committed suicide or died of alcohol poisoning. (I don't know if you wanted a long paragraph based on evidence, I'm just giving my honest opinion.)
