Answer: The given statement is False.

Mutations can be described as permanent change in the nucleotide sequence of DNA ( that is considered as the genetic material of living organisms).

All DNA sequence mutations do not result in down-stream amino acid changes. For instance, in case of point substitution mutation, there is substitution of one nucleotide by another nucleotide but same amino acid is produced by the change.

This occurs due to the fact that many codons for single amino acid ( like AAG and AAA both codons correspond to lysine amino acid)
