Due to predation on the island, the population of shrews is decreasing at a rate of 17 animals per month. If the population of shrews in March is 715, how many shrews will be on the island in October of the same year??????

The answer should be 596 because the difference between the months is 7. So if u multiply 7*17 you would get 119
. So then u subtract 119 from 715 giving you your answer of
596
