The answer to this is true. If you were to take someone else's role for just one day you would see how different their life is from yours.

The correct answer is true.

It is true that role-taking forms the basis of the socialization process by allowing us to anticipate what others expect of us, thus learning to see ourselves through the eyes of others.

Humans are social creatures. We have always had the necessity of having relationships, Human interaction comprises the daily activities with other people in many situations that could be the office, home, the recreation center, and many others. Role-taking allows us to understand what the other people are thinking or living because we have lived that too in the past and probably we will live something like that in the future. We need understanding and compassion. And role-taking help us to anticipate what others expect of us, thus learning to see ourselves through the eyes of others.
