I think the answer is Freedom rides to Washington, D.C. it was a challenge to segregation with buses. This was usually spearheaded by the CORE, Congress of Racial Equality. Its protests are brought by ordinances on social segregation based on color. This is widely done in schools, public transportation and social areas.
