An auditorium has 500 seats. On a recent evening, 1/10 of the seats were empty for a show. How many people attended the show?

I think it's 500 divided by 10 but I may be wrong

Answer : 450 people attended the show.

To have a full auditorium there must be 500/500 people.

If there 1/10 seats empty than there where 50/500 seats empty which meant 50 seats empty.

500/500 - 50/500 = 450/500

450 people attended the show
