Benjamin Franklin advised him to take the children from Georgia to the North and build the orphanage there, but the reverend refuse, therefore Franklin decided he would not contribute financially to Whitfield's' plans, but when he went to listen to his preach, he was so moved by Whitfield's eloquence that he ended up emptying his pockets in support of the sermon.
