You are working as an office apprentice for the bksb Newcastle Arena. The arena is giving away free tickets to encourage more people to visit the amateur sport tournaments the arena is planning to host. Every time a customer purchases a ticket they are entered into a draw. Each draw is made up of 800 entrants. There is a 1/20 chance of winning.

How many winners will there be per draw?
What is the chance of not winning? Show your answer in percentage form.

Divide 800 / 20 = 40,
There will be 40 winners per draw.
800 / 100 = 8, 1% will be 8 people in the draw.
40 / 8 = 5, 5% of winning, 95% of loosing.

Hope this helps.
