All the angles of a square are 90°

So a diagonal divides a square into a right angled triangle.

All the sides = 8 ft

Applying Pythagoras theorem,
Length of diagonal = ✓8^2 + 8^2 = ✓(64 + 64)
= ✓ 128
= 8√2

Correct answer is 8✓2
