Between 1500 and 1800 what was the main reason Europeans did not enter the interior of Africa?-

Europeans did not enter, because, the shores of Africa would not be god for farming or crops, or a convict settlement. so why would the middle. They only started going in because of the slave trade. And the industrial revolution.
