Let's seperate the equation, and do the first half first.

-5x ⁽²⁺³ˣ⁾

Multiply -5x with 2.

Then, multiply 3x with -5x.

That gives us: -10x - 15x²

Now, let's do the second half.

2x(x-4)

2x²-8x

Now, let's put them together.

(-10x-15x²) - (2x²-8x)

Add like terms.

(-2x² - 15x²) - (-8x - 10x)

Simplify.

-17x² - (-18x)

-17x² + 18x
