24 * 11 = 264 square feet the triangles

11-7

= 4

24 -14

=10

1/2 * 4 * 10

= 20

24-20 by 11-6

=1/2 * 4 * 5 =10

=264 - (20+10)

= 264 - 30

=234 square feet

the similar polygon is a rectangle with dimensions of 11ft and 24ft.

to find the area you can use the area of the rectangle and subtract the two small triangles area. the one in the lower left has legs of 10ft and 4ft so the area is 20. the top right has legs of 4ft and 5ft so the area is 10.
the area of the rectangle is 264 because 11x24. subtract 20 and 10 from 264 to get

234 feet^2 which is the area of the polygon.
