Answer: Slaves

The Aztecs were a pre-Columbian people of central Mexico. An extremely advanced civilization, they built one of the largest and most sophisticated empires in the world.

The Aztec society followed a strict hierarchy, with pipiltin (nobles) at the top, followed by macehualtin (commoners) and finally serfs and slaves at the bottom.
