Distance = rate * time
Divide both side by time to get rate
Rate = Distance / time

5/.1 = 50 m/s

10/.2 = 50 m/s

Answer: The car speed is 50m/s.

Explanation:

Hi, to answer this question we have to analyze the information given:

  • Distance = 5 meters ; time = 0.1 seconds
  • Distance = 10 meters ;time = 0.2 seconds

To calculate the car speed we have to divide the distance by the time in each case:

Mathematically speaking:

  • 5 mts / 0.1 sec = 50 m/s
  • 10 m/ 0.2 sec = 50m/s

In conclusion, the car speed is 50m/s.
