1. Fossils of an extinct organism have been found on two continents (example: South America and Africa). How could you explain the presence of these fossils on these continents that have an ocean between them? 

Many people believe that all of the earth's continents we once joined together as a "super continent" called Pangaea. The animal could have lived in the area that eventually was separated by the landmasses drifting apart.
