35-7 which would equal 28, but that answer wouldn't be exactly correct, as this isn't in correct formation. An equation would be 2x + 7 = 35.

35-7= 28 divided by 2(2x) would equal 14
So Mary is 14 and her sister is 21.

21 + 14 equals 35
