What do you know about an organism's parents if it is homozygous for a certain trait

I believe it is that both parents are homozygous for that certain trait.

Well, it is for sure going to be homozygous, but it also depends on if it was the dominant or the recessive trait.

The parents could either be both heterozygous and have a 50% chance of being homozygous, one is homozygous dominant and the other homozygous recessive, or they are both homozygous.
