lets w is width
length = 2w - 3

w(2w - 3) = 14
2w^2 - 3w = 14
2w^2 - 3w - 14 = 0
(2w - 7)(w + 2) = 0

2w - 7 = 0
w = 7/2 = 3.5

l = 2w -3 = 2(3.5) - 3 = 4

answer:
width = 3.5
length = 4
