Read the passage. (1) The word quarantine has an interesting history. (2) It comes from the Latin word for the number 40. (3) Long ago, ships had to stay in port for 40 days if they came from countries where people had the plague. (4) The 40-day stay was meant to keep sick people from spreading the deadly disease to others. (5) As a result, quarantine came to mean “isolation of people with contagious diseases.” (6) The history of the word ketchup is also interesting. (7) Ketchup comes from a Malay word meaning “fish sauce.” Which is the most effective way to invert sentence 6 in order to vary sentence patterns? Also interesting is the history of the word ketchup. The word ketchup also has an interesting history. Also the word ketchup has an interesting history. The history of the word ketchup is interesting, too.

After reading the passage, I find that the best way to invert sentence 6 is : The word ketchup also has an interesting history. I chose this sentence inversion because it ties the sentence well together with the rest of the paragraph and does not seem like it is just jumping from one topic to the next.
Your answer is:
The word ketchup also has an interesting history.
Have an amazing day!
