c) mitosis; meiosis

Mitosis and meiosis are two types of cell division in living organisms. Mitosis is the process by which a parent cell gives rise to two genetically identical cells while meiosis gives rise to four genetically different cells.

Somatic cells refer to the body cells that are not involved in reproduction e.g. liver cells, skin cells etc. Somatic cells reproduce themselves via the process of mitosis. Sex cells or gametes are involved with reproduction and hence, produced by the process of meiosis. Meiosis helps ensure that there is genetic diversity in sexual reproduction.

Based on this question, Somatic cells reproduce by MITOSIS , while sex cells reproduce by MEIOSIS
