The plot elements that are characteristic of Seneca's plays are
prophetic dreams, murder, and revenge.
Most of his plays are in fact tragedies, where murderous intents lead to actual killings due to the desire for revenge. Prophetic dreams usually showed characters what is going to happen and who has to die. There was no room for love triangles in Seneca's plays.
