What is the factored form of 2x2 + 20x + 50?

2(x + 5)(x − 4)
2(x − 5)(x + 4)
2(x + 5)2

2x2 + 20x + 50=2(x^2+10x+25)
10=2*5 and 25=5*5 so we can see that this is a perfect square (x+a)^2=x^2+2a+a^2 where a=5
So
2(x^2+10x+25)= 2(x+5)^2
