Mary would be 10 because 10 times 2 is 30 plus 2 more is 32 years.

M = Mary
J = John

Equation:
J = 2M + 2
M = ( J - 2 ) / 2
J + M = 32

J = 22
M = 10

2 * 10 = 20 + 2 = 22 = Johns age

Sorry, I can't figure out an equation. Just did trial and error
