Answer: False

Explanation: Owners of means of production in a capitalist society are capitalists. As the owners of the means of production, they can invest in production, hire workers, and on the basis of invested funds and excess of the value generated by the worker, they earn profits or capital, so they are called capitalist.

Owners of means of production in a communist society, where there is no personal property, but only social. Then the owners of the social property are all members of the society i.e. the proletariat.
