A dendrite conducts nerve impulses towards the cell body. A dendrite is something like a small branch of a tree in our nervous system. It goes from a nerve cell and conducts an impulse from other cells towards cell body. This is basically how all electrical impulses are transmitted and the easy way to examine this is by touching something since it can easily be proven with the sense of touch.
