Which kind of muscle fibers enable the muscles to exert force for a long period of time?

I highly recommend picking up a books called "Anatomy and Physiology" by McGraw-Hill. Amazing book. Everything you need to know or need answered is in that book :)

The answer is Slow-Twitch Fibers. They allows muscle to excert forces and MANY more things :)
