the predominant tissue found in the thymus in a young child is thymic stroma. the thymus is largest during in our younger ages, then the thymus begins to shrink when we reach adolescence and the thymic stroma will then be replace with fat tissue. during in our older days, the thymus will be made up of mostly fat tissues
