The correct answer is C. Alveoli.

Alveoli are very minute balloon like air sacs which are one cell thick structures present in the form of clusters in the entire lungs. Alveoli are rich in blood capillaries. They are very important part of the respiratory system and their main function is to exchange oxygen and carbon dioxide molecules to and from the blood capillaries.
