Relations between the United States and Cuba had been steadily declining since Castro seized power in early 1959. U.S. officials were soon convinced that Castro’s government was too anti-American to be trusted, and they feared that he might lead Cuba into the communist bloc.

Answer:

Castro shared good relations with the US Cold War rival, & the society union

Castro also declared that he would assenssinate US president dwight Eisenhower & destroy US Government

Step-by-step explanation:

Fidel Castro had developed political and military connections with the USSR, to the point that a military base was intended to host nuclear warheads. This event led to the major world crisis were extinction of mankind was a reality of that time.

The USSR had the Cuban island as an outpost for spreading the communist ideology. Many of the South and Latin American socialists got assistance to their part from Cuba.

An alleged plot against US president Eisenhower was believed to have been orchestrated within the Habana, while publicly Fidel Castro showed a violent Anti-American view on the regional politics and influenced other countries to align south.
