The cell cycle defines the steps taken by the cell to duplicate. the cell first prepare enough material for duplication then divides then stopes for a while before starting again. This process is regulated and is under strict control. When any step of this cycle loses control cancer will result any where including the skin where damiging UV light breaks the cell cycle of the skincells
