Why is wind, like force, considered a vector quantity?

Force is a vector quantity because it actually does depend in which direction you apply the force. The force can be seen physically as a push or a pull. ... It is important to know in which direction it is pushed. Another example is walking with or against the wind.

Wind is considered a vector quantity because it has both magnitude and direction.
