I'm not sure what he answer to the second part is, but for the first part, find the area of the whole figure, so multiply 15.5 by 10.4 to get 161.2. then find the area of the semi circles and since there are 2 of them, it is one full circle so use the formula for the area of a circle, A=(pi)r^2, to find the area of the semicircles. when you substitute and solve, you get about 84.95. then subtract the semicircles' area from the rectangle's area to get 76.25.
