degree is the power of the highest powered exponent
if we just have 1 term, add the exponents of te placeholders together

we can do y^2y^1=y^3
we gots
x^3y^3
3+3=6

THE DEGREE IS 6, ADD THE DEGREE TOGETHER ALWAYS REMEMBER THE LINEAR WILL ALWAYS HAVE A 1 DEGREE SO 3+2+1 IS 6. i HOPE THIS HELPS

THIS IS A MONOMIAL NOT A BINOMIAL SO YOU ADD THE DEGREE
BUT IF YOU HAVE A POLYNOMIAL EQUATION THE HIGHEST EXPONENT IS THE DEGREE.
