When we talk about Alanines we are talking about amino-acids that are used in the biosynthesis. Now, Alanine is deanimated to give pyruvic acid (C3H4O3) and ammmonia which is (NH3) pyruvic acid. This pyruvic acid occurs as an intermediate in many metabolic processes.
