At the Boston Children's Museum, it was estimated that 38% of all visitors are from in state. On Saturday, 8,000 people attended the museum. What is the number of out-of-state people in attendance?

since 38% of all visitors are from in state, the number of visitors from out of state is 100% - 38% = 62%

62% of 8000 is
8000/100 * 62 = 4960
4960 out-of-state people are in attendance
