After reading Martin Luther King Jr.’s “Letter From the Birmingham Jail” and “Six Principals of Nonviolence,” using nonviolence is not the most effective strategy to initiate change in our current society because it takes too long, things are not getting done or changed, teaches people to be defenseless.
