If Bryce does the arithmetic in the way usually taught, his partial products will be
.. 410 * 264 = 0*264 +10*264 +400*264
.. = 0 +2640 +105,600 . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . matches selection C

Bryce could do the math using Vedic methods to get
.. 80,000 + (24+2)*1000 +(2*0 +6*1 +4*4)*100 +(6*0+4*1)*10
.. = 80,000 +26,000 +2,200 +40
.. = 108240
