I call a thesis statement a summary of the paper at the beginning. It shows what the essay will be about and only by this sentence you can tell the viewpoint of the author. Therefore, the whole paper is about backing up your statement, showing evidences, reasoning and explaining.

How can being effective at persuasive writing help you when backing up your thesis in a paper?
