The correct answer is C.

The stages in writing process are: prewriting, writing, revision, editing and publishing.

In the revising stage in the writing process the author does the following: adding, rearranging, removing and replacing.

He may add some necessary words or even whole passages. This is done in order to improve the work's content. He may rearrange the order of the plot in the story to make the flow better. He may also remove passages that don't fit. Finally, he may correct major errors, replacing some details to help clarify the work.
