What is the term used to describe a writer who lives outside the United States? Describe what they were writing about. What area was home to the largest concentration of these writers?

Expatriates were writers who are American but chose to live outside the United States. Most of the writers of the 20s ended up in Paris, France. In Paris many of the writers were writing about the American life but from a variety of viewpoints.

My guess is a internationalist. and they are writing about the american culture from a different POV. And New York or Britain.
