When a fish moves its muscles, chemical potential energy from stored sugars is converted to kinetic energy. This energy is then lost from the fish. How does this phenomenon validate the Law of Conservation of Energy?

the energy goes from chemical (the carbohydrates in the sugars) to mechanical energy that is then moved into the water using the fins of the fish.
