Triangle ABC is a right triangle with leg lengths of 5 and 12 inches. Find the length of the hypotenuse. Round answer to the nearest hundredth if necessary.

You do Sine (SOHCAHTOA).
sin(12)=5/x
Now you have to switch the sin (12) with the denominator (x).
x=5/sin (12)
Then you just divide the equation in your calculator to find x.

(AB)^2+(BC)^=(AC)^2
5^2+12^2=AC^2
25+144=AC^2
169=AC^2
AC=13inches
