The correct answer is option C

The convection occurs because of the movement of lighter hot gas that rises up and the dense, cold air that stays below . Due to this heated air eventually replaces the colder air, gets cool down and sinks. This creates an on going process of warming, rising, cooling and then sinking causing the convection current.
