You know the product will be greater than the two factors because multiplication always makes the numbers greater. So 2x12 is 24 and that is greater than the two factors

You know that the answer will always be greater if it is multiplication and you know the product will be less then if it is division or subtraction and the answer be greater if it's addition or multiplecation
