Stratum basale is the layer of epidermis that will be supplied with the highest levels of oxygen from the blood. Epidermis has five layers, and stratum basale is the deepest one of them, thus it gets the most oxygen from the blood. Above it, these layers are found: stratum spinosum, stratum granulosum, stratum lucidum, and stratum corneum is closest to our outer skin.
