Dipstick or dry reagent strips are used in biochemical testing in routine urinalysis. Dipsticks are dipped in the urine and left for specified time before comparing the color change to standard charts. The ten constituents tested in dipstick method are: pH, Protein, Glucose (sugar), Ketones, Blood, Bilirubin, Specific gravity, Nitrite, Urobilinogen, and Leukocytes.
