The most important driving force of the free enterprise system is Competition to satisfy the customer and earn the highest profits. Competition is the best tool to maintain the pursuit of lowering costs and costumer's satisfaction. Free enterprise means men and women have the opportunity to own economic resources, such as land, minerals, manufacturing plants and computers, and to use those tools to create goods and services for sale. Profits are the measure of success in a free enterprise system because it is proof that you are allocating successfully your resources.
