How many atoms are in 1.75 mole CHCL3?

A mole is analogous to a dozen. A dozen contains 12 of any substance. Similarly, one mole contains 6.02 x 10^23 particles of any substance. This number is also known as Avagadro's number. Therefore, in order to find the number of particles contained in 1.75 moles of trichloromethane, we first multiply 1.75 by 6.02 x 10^23 to get 1.05 x 10^24 molecules. Now, each molecule contains 5 atoms. Therefore, we multiply this by 5 to get the number of atoms, which is 5.27 x 10^24
